‍Complementary Health treatments and the power of prevention

‍As discussed in my previous Blog, “Exercise and the power of prevention” a good blood circulation is one of the primary ways of keeping your body healthy.

‍In order to transport the appropriate amounts of oxygen and nutrients to the muscles and tissues of the body, your blood circulation needs to function properly. This process nourishes the cells and regulates your body’s homeostasis, or put another way, how your body maintains all it’s biological systems in order to keep you healthy and alive.

‍Exercise and stretching is one of the most beneficial ways of facilitating a good blood circulation. Other ways include; Complementary Health Treatments such as; Massage Therapy,  Reflexology and Shiatsu (also called Finger pressure points).

‍A good practitioner will use the above techniques to essentially break-up tension and knots in the muscles, thereby reducing tension that allows the blood to flow more easily throughout the body.

‍An experienced practitioner will be able to sense where the tension lies and will then use the appropriate therapy or technique to release it.

‍Such therapies, do not mask the symptoms of a stressed body, but instead they empower it by releasing what is causing it to be unwell.

‍This is the power of prevention. Regular treatments such as Massage Therapy, Reflexology and Shiatsu empower the person by relaxing and strengthening the body’s natural systems, thereby promoting health and well-being.

‍If you have any questions of how such therapies can help you, feel free to contact me.
